Cassie takes a warm but straightforward approach with clients, aiming to create a non-judgmental and safe environment in which meaningful change can occur. She sees therapy as a space to build understanding and acceptance of yourself and aims to help you make relevant changes to live a fulfilling life.
Cassie works with a wide range of presentations but holds a special interest in working in the attachment and relationship space with an emphasis on assisting clients to build healthier relationships. Cassie is supportive of all relationship structures, including non-monogamous relationship structures. Cassie also enjoys working with clients with dyspareunia (vaginismus and vulvodynia) to support them in understanding underlying psychological causes and working to reduce their pain during sex. She is also passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community, providing gender affirming care and offering WPATH assessments to clients exploring gender affirming surgeries.
Cassie is neuroaffirming in her practice and has experience supporting Autistic and ADHDer clients to navigate the challenges of living in a neurotypical world.
Cassie primarily uses therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy. She also has experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, substance use, self-esteem/self-worth, grief and adjusting to change.
